The space features two separate event rooms, a main level hall west ballroom, and main level east meeting room, with an adjoining service kitchen and restrooms and in season, an outdoor veranda that stretches across the front of the building. We are well suited for both small meetings and groups of up to 125 people at training tables with Wi-Fi access, we are also Wheelchair accessible. In addition, guests have access to a comfortable area that is used for socializing, breakout groups, and welcoming guests to the facility.
The Fort has been referred to as the “hidden gem of Des Moines by the DM Register.” Create the wedding or event of your dreams. Our quaint chapel was the Fort’s first house of worship. Generations of military personnel attended services in this non-denominational site. Our weddings are special at the fort, our century old chapel is available to rent and your reception can be held in our vintage Barracks building part of the National Landmark. The hall is 30 feet wide by 60 feet long, and approximately 2,400 square-feet. Use of the grounds and verandas are included with the rental, as well as a limited number of tables and chairs for use in the hall or on the grounds and verandas. Ample parking is available in a lot adjacent to the facility on evenings and weekends.
